Autostrada Eksploatacja S.A. operates the motorway in virtue of the agreement with the Concessionaires -Autostrada Wielkopolska S.A. and Autostrada Wielkopolska II. The Company employs over 500 persons taking daily care of the safety of drivers using the A2 Motorway.

On 20 December 2002 Autostrada Eksploatacja commenced the maintenance of the 47.7 km tolled section of the A2 Konin – Września Motorway. In September 2003 AESA started the operation of the 13.3 km toll free section of the Poznań Bypass from Komorniki to Krzesiny, and two months later, on 27 November 2003, another 37.5 km section of toll motorway from Września to Poznań. Since October 2004 the company has operated the 149 km motorway section from Nowy Tomyśl to Konin. On 1 December 2011 AESA took over the maintenance of another 105 km section of A2 from Nowy Tomyśl to Świecko.
